Elimpus1

Elimpus1 is a single-antenna intelligent acquisition and communication system. It is a cost-effective way to monitor small and medium sized substations. Based on our established radiometric partial discharge monitoring technology, Elimpus1 gives utilities the means to preventively maintain their assets by the detection of evolving partial discharge activity which may become a serious hazard in the future.

Elimpus1 monitors equipment non-intrusively, and communicates wirelessly, meaning that there are no issues with firewalls or network security policies. Information visualisation is enabled through any of our NServer IT solutions, allowing utilities to view the condition of the substation in real-time via a state-of-the-art web interface, which can also classify PDs and send alarms to users by SMS and Email.

Cost Effective Elimpus1 is a cost effective way to detect partial discharge activity. When activity is detected, a radiometric survey can be performed to pinpoint the source. The unit is aimed at smaller substations, where installation of a larger system to locate PD may be impractical, but where detection of PD, and therefore an indication of the overall health of the substation, is still required.
Easy to install The unit is self-contained and be installed in any position within a substation.
Autonomous The unit is self-managing and robust; it is capable of unattended operation.
GPS Module If the unit is equipped with a GPS module, the proximity of partial discharge can be displayed within the NServer web portal. This feature is also useful for asset tracking purposes.
