Elimpus4 Mobile

Elimpus4 Mobile is a mobile antenna array system, capable of non-intrusively locating partial discharges. The system provides 24/7 monitoring for assessment of equipment condition and for health and safety purposes. It is ideal for longer term, but not permanent, installation.

Elimpus4 Mobile offers utilities the ability to monitor equipment for short or extended periods. It is also useful for spot detection, should partial discharges be suspected or otherwise indicated. It is particularly recommended in substations where risk management zones have been imposed due to type-fault equipment failures.

Elimpus4 Mobile integrates fully with all our NServer IT solutions, allowing utilities to view the condition of the substation in real-time via a state-of-the-art web interface, which can also classify PDs and send alarms to users by SMS and Email.

Easy to install Elimpus4 Mobile comprises an acquisition system and antenna array fitted inside a small trailer that can be towed between sites. Once on site, the unit can be powered up and running within minutes.
Robust Designed for substation use, the unit incorporates equi-potential bonding throughout its design; UPS protection of the power supply; automatic recovery from power outages; extra ballast to improve wind loading resistance and an antenna array permanently mounted underneath the unit's dielectric roof.
Flexible The position of the unit within a substation can be changed as many times as you need.
Autonomous The unit is self-managing and reliable; it is capable of unattended operation. For very long term or permanent installation requirements, see Elimpus4 Fixed
Non-intrusive Based on our established radiometric partial discharge monitoring technology, Elimpus4 Mobile can accurately locate partial discharge without needing physical contact with the equipment. It can detect any number of PD sources simultaneously. It communicates wirelessly, meaning there are no issues with firewalls or network security policies.
GPS Module If the unit is equipped with the optional GPS module, its location will be accurately displayed within the NServer web portal. This feature is useful for asset tracking purposes.
